Ragging in Ambala College of Engineering & Applied Research is banned and any one indulging in ragging is likely to be punished appropriately, which may include:-

• Expulsion/suspension from the institution/classes.
• Withholding scholarship or other benefits.
• Debarring from representation in events.
• Withholding results.
• Suspension or expulsion from hostel or mess, & the like.
• Lodging FIR.

Any Student convicted of an offence of ragging shall be dismissed from the institution and immediately handed over to police. It is further, requested that this information be passed amongst friends.

Various Acts Considered As Ragging

• Taking of introduction of fresher's by seniors.
• To demand addressing as sir/madam.
• To ask freshers perform mass drills.
• To ask fresher's copy/make class notes or lab journals for the seniors.
• To serve various errands for seniors.
• To do menial jobs for seniors.
• To ask answers to vulgar questions.
• To ask look at pornographic pictures.
• To force to take alcohol or other intoxicants.
• To force to do acts leading to physical injury/mental torture or death.
• To force to do acts with sexual overtones.
• To strip/kiss/to do other obscenities.
• To go to rooms of fresher's in hostels.
• To go to class rooms of fresher's and give them any directions.
• To ask fresher's to dress in a particular manner.
• To ask fresher's to have a particular appearance.
• Any act that prevents disrupts or disturbs the regular academic activity.
• Any act of financial extortion/expenditure against one’s wishes.
