In every Govt./Govt.aided/Uni.deptt./Pvt. Instt. (who have surrendered their 25% Management & NRI quota seats ) 85% seats are reserved for Haryana candidate. In case of Pvt. Instt. who have not surrendered their Mgmt. Quota 63.75 % seats are reserved for Haryana candidate. Counseling fee for participation in online off-campus counseling is Rs. 500/- and is non-refundable. It is mandatory for all the candidates participating in online counseling to deposit this counseling fee through www.hscs.org.

Different modes of payment are :
Credit / debit card payment, Cash deposit in banks (Axis / PNB), internet banking and E-cash coupon. For payment details refer chapter “Important Procedures for session 2008-09”.
After purchase of E-cash coupon or cash deposit at bank, do not forget to enter the transaction code at www.hscs.org website. Goto www.hscs.org. Click on counseling fees. Next page towards the end click on Proceed. Fill in all your details and click e-cash coupon option. Fill in all the required details and submit. The payment is through.
The candidate can check the status of deposition of Counseling fee or Token admission fee at website www.hscs.org after 24 hours of deposition of amount.

AXIS bank and PNB bank, But do remember to enter transaction id online on www.hscs.org.

The Candidates may purchase the e-cash coupon from the polytechnic colleges (collection centre and the HSCS office ) & at all Institutes for all degree courses.

Ans. |
Internet banking is possible only if you have an account with PNB and Axis bank with a user name and internet banking password. |

Go to www.hscs.org. Click on counseling fees. Next page towards the end click on Proceed. Fill in all your details and click on internet banking option option. Click on PNB or AXIS whichever bank you have an account. Put in the user name and password and proceed. |

What is the process for debit or credit card payment? |

Ans. |
Go to www.hscs.org. Click on counseling fees. Next page towards the end click on Proceed. Fill in all your details and click debit/credit card option and submit. Click on proceed on the next page. Put in the information that are required and proceed as per asked. You would need to enter the card number, expiry date of the card and 3 digit security code (CVV number) and click proceed.

What is the process to pay by cash at bank through an E-deposit slip? |

Ans. |
Before you pay the cash at bank you would need to generate an E-deposit slip. To print those slip go to www.hscs.org. Click on counseling fees. Next page towards the end click on Proceed. Fill in all your details and click cash deposit option and click submit. Press control and generate e-deposit slip together. Fill all the required details on the slip. Provide the slip and cash at the bank counter. |

How should I fill the choices for seat allotment? |
|

Ans. |
The choices should be filled in order of priority as given below: Filling choices for BE/ B.Tech, Lateral entry to BE/B.Tech:
Maximum of 50 choices shall be filled by the candidate in the following pattern:
- Priority 1: 1 to 47 Choices: Priority wise choices for a particular branch in a particular institute
- Priority 2: 48th Choice: For a particular branch in any Institute.
For a particular branch selected, four options namely, a, b, c, d will be shown to the candidate for selection of institute (with an option to select any institute of his choice for the particular branch selected) .
- Priority 3: 49th Choice: In a particular Institute for any branch. (with an option to select any branch of his choice for the particular institute selected)
For a particular institute selected, four options namely, a, b, c, d will be shown to the candidate for selection of branch.
- Priority 4: 50th Choice: In any institute any branch.
*Choices in Priority 1 may be reduced if the number of institutes is less than 50. The candidates are advised to choose the last option also, so that atleast any one seat is allotted to the candidate on the basis of their merit, if vacant. For details refer seat allotment procedure in respective brochures. |

Can an applicant change his choices after locking?
|

Ans. |
Yes, the candidate can change his choices by unlocking the choices till the last date of locking of choices. However, it is mandatory/ compulsory for the candidates to lock the choices till the last date of locking of choices as per the “Key Dates” mentioned in the respective brochures. |

The Token admission fee per candidate will be transferred to the institute after online counseling & institute level counseling is over. The candidates will be required to deposit the full semester/year fee of the Institution, as the institute may decide, after deducting the amount equal to that of the amount deposited by the candidate in the account of Haryana State Counseling Society as token admission fee. In the event of candidate withdrawing before the starting of the course, the token admission fee shall be refunded to the candidate as per the refund procedure mentioned in respective admission brochures.

If the candidate does not deposit token Admission fee within the time specified, can he deposit the same after admission? |
|
|
Ans. |
No, if the candidate does not deposit the token admission within the time specified in respective admission brochures, he will be out from the counseling process and the seat allotted to him/her will be cancelled. The candidates are advised to deposit the token admission fee after the allotment of seat as the same is likely to upgrade in subsequent phases of counseling.

What should I take while reporting to the allotted or designated institutes and shall I submit the original certificates? |

List of documents to be brought at the time of reporting in the institute:
The candidates, at the time of reporting must bring the following Original Certificates/Documents/Testimonials alongwith three sets of duly attested photocopies of these with them. Any candidate, who fails to produce any of the required Certificate / Document / Testimonial at the time of reporting the institution, will forfeit his/her claim to admission.
- Qualifying Examination i.e. 10+2/Intermediate/Senior Secondary School Examination.
- Matriculation/High School Certificate.
- AIEEE – 2008 rank card
- Character Certificate :
(a)Regular Candidates : The candidates who passed their qualifying exam. from School/College as regular students are required to submit the Character Certificate as per Annexure-I.
(b)Private Candidates : Candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination as private candidates should submit their Character Certificate, duly signed by a First Class Magistrate.
- Residents Certificate as per Annexure-II, if applicable : Candidates, who have passed their qualifying examination from a Board/Recognized School located in the State of Haryana will be deemed to be Haryana residents and will not be required to submit certificates of bonafide residents of Haryana.
- Certificate from the Employer in the case of Employees of Govt. of Haryana, members of All India Services borne on Haryana Cadre, Employees of Statutory Bodies/Corporations as per Annexure-III, if applicable.
- Scheduled Caste Certificate as per Annexure-IV, if applicable.
- Backward Class Certificate as per Annexure-V of Admission Brochure 2008-09., if applicable and affidavit as per Annexure-VI of Admission Brochure 2008-09.
- Certificate in respect of Physically Handicapped Candidates as per Annexure-VII of Admission Brochure 2008-09., if applicable.
- Certificate required to be furnished by the Children & Grand-children of Freedom Fighters as per Annexure-VIII of Admission Brochure 2008-09., if applicable.
- Certificate from wards of Deceased/Disabled/Discharged Military/Para-Military personnel/ Ex-Servicemen or Ex-Personnel of Para-Military Forces – Annexure-IX of Admission Brochure 2008-09.
- Certificate from wards of ex-employee of Indian Defence Services/ Para-Military Forces- Annexure-X of Admission Brochure 2008-09.
- Certificate of Medical Fitness- Annexure-XI of Admission Brochure 2008-09.
- Admit Card of AIEEE-2008.
Note: All Originals and 3 sets of attested photo-copies of all applicable documents/ testimonials/ certificates must be brought at the time of reporting.
- The original certificates shall be returned back after verification.
- The 3 sets of attested copies of certificates/documents/testimonials will be verified & signed by the Director-Principal or his authorized representative & will be retained for registration purposes with the HSCS and subsequently in the University.
- In case of Kashmiri Migrants, supporting certificates andoriginal certificate of migration duly signed by the competent authority or Relief Commissioner.
- In case of HGST, candidates shall produce a certificate in the support of their claim from the Principal/Headmaster of the Govt. School of which the candidate is topper clearly stating the strength of class.

What if the applicant has given token fee but not reported at the institute/university? |
|

Ans. |
If the candidate /applicant do not report by last date, he will be out from the counseling process and can apply for refund of token admission fee (if deposited) through online process before the cut off date. The seat allotted to the candidate will be cancelled.

How can I apply for refund of token admission fee in case of withdrawing the admission? |
|
|
Ans. |
The candidate surrendering the seat allotted through online counseling shall fill in online refund application form available on the website www.hscs.org. The submission of refund form means the cancellation of seat (if allotted any) of the candidate in the respective Institute and the student cannot claim the seat thereafter. In the event of candidate withdrawing before the starting of the course, the token admission fee shall be refunded to the candidate as mentioned in respective admission brochures. |
