A guest lecture session was successfully conducted today at ACE Devsthali, featuring Mr. Varun Sharma, HR Head at MDI, as the esteemed speaker.
The event focused on the highly relevant and practical topic:
“Resume Writing and Interview Do’s & Don’ts.”
A total of 137 students from the departments of Business Administration, B.Tech CSE, AI & ML, Mechanical Engineering, and Biotechnology enthusiastically participated in the session.

Interview Do’s
- Research about the company and job role beforehand
- Dress professionally and arrive on time
- Maintain positive body language and eye contact
- Prepare well for common and behavioural interview questions
Interview Don’ts
- Avoid overconfidence or memorised answers
- Don’t speak negatively about previous employers or institutions
- Avoid interrupting the interviewer
- Don’t share false information or exaggerate your resume
Outcome
The session proved to be highly beneficial for final-year and pre-final-year students preparing for upcoming campus placements. Mr. Varun Sharma’s industry experience and real-life insights gave students a clear understanding of corporate expectations and helped them identify areas of improvement in their resumes and interview approach.
Students showed keen interest during the Q&A round, where Mr. Sharma addressed individual doubts and shared practical tips for different interview scenarios.
