Q. 1) What is the minimum eligibility and basis of admission for degree and diploma courses?

Q5. Where can I find the last year cut-off ranks for Degree
courses?

Ans. The last year cut-off ranks for degree courses is available on www.techadmissionshry.gov.in


Q6. How many seats are reserved for Haryana candidates?

Ans. In every Govt./Govt.aided/Uni.deptt./Pvt. Instt. (who have surrendered their 25% Management & NRI quota seats ) 85% seats are reserved for Haryana candidates. In case of Pvt. Instt. who have not surrendered their Mgmt. Quota, 63.75 % seats are reserved for Haryana candidate. Q7. Is there any reservation for Haryana Govt. School Toppers?

Ans. One seat is reserved in each discipline in every institute for admission of toppers of  (having minimum 2nd division) of Govt. High Schools of Haryana for admission in 1st semester in B.E/B.Tech.


Q8. Is there any reservation for Kasmiri migrants?

Ans. One seat is reserved in each discipline in every institute for admission in 1st semester in B.E/B.Tech. and 1 seat in every instutute for admission in 2nd year (LEET).


Q9. Is there any reservation for economically poor students?

Ans. 5% seats of sanctioned intake per course in each institute is reserved for economically poor students under Tution Fee Waiver (TFW). The annual income of parents should be less than Rupees 6.0 lakhs.


Q10. Where do Kashmiri migrants, Haryana Government School Topper & Tution Fee waiver(TFW) applicants need to submit the application form?

Ans. Haryana State Technical Education Society, Bay 7-12, sector-4, Panchkula.


Q11. How many seats are reserved for other states except Haryana candidate?

Ans. 15% seats of sanctioned intake per course are reserved. For details about reservation policy, refer Chapter “Distribution of seats” in respective brochures.


Q12. How many seats are reserved for SC category?

Ans. 20% of State Quota (17% of total intake). For details about reservation policy, refer Chapter “Distribution of seats” in respective brochures.


Q13. How many seats are reserved for BC category?

Ans. For BC (A) 16% of State Quota [13.6% of total intake] is reserved. For details about reservation policy refer Chapter “Distribution of seats” in respective brochures. For BC (B) 11% of State Quota [9.3% of total intake] is reserved. For details about reservation policy refer Chapter “Distribution of seats” in respective brochures.


Q14. How many seats are reserved for Girls?

Ans. 25% horizontal reservation in all categories.


Q15. How many seats are reserved for Special Backward Classes (SBC) category?

Ans. 10% of state quota (8.5% of total intake).


Q16. How many seats are reserved for Economically Backward Person (EBP) in General castes category?

Ans. 10% of state quota (8.5% of total intake).


Q17. How many seats are reserved for handicapped person?

Ans. 3% of State Quota (2.55% of total intake). For details about reservation policy refer Chapter “Distribution of seats” in respective brochures.


Q18. How many seats are reserved for ESM and their wards/dependents of Freedom Fighters and/Freedom Fighter?

Ans. 3% horizontal (1% each out of Haryana Open General Category, SC and BC)

Q19. How can the applicant attend the counseling?

Ans. Candidate may participate in online off-campus counseling through the website www.techadmissionshry.gov.in. For details refer to the respective brouchures.


Q20. What is the counseling fee? Is it refundable?

Ans. Counseling fee for participation in online off-campus counseling is Rs. 500/- and is non-refundable. It is mandatory for all the candidates participating in online counseling to deposit this counseling fee through www.hstes.org.


Q21. What are the different modes of payment? How and where can a student deposit the counseling Fee or OnLine Entrance Test (OLET) registration Fee?

Ans. Cash deposit in banks (Axis / PNB). For payment details refer brouchure chapter “Important Procedures for session”. The candidate can check the status of deposition of Counseling fee at website www.hstes.org. after 24 hours of deposition of amount.


Q22. What is the process to pay by cash at bank through a Bank Slip (downloaded from website)?

Ans. Before you pay the cash at bank you would need to generate an E-deposit slip. To print this slip go to www.hstes.org.. Click on payment registration. Next page towards the end click on Proceed. Fill in all your details and click cash deposit option and click submit. Generate E-deposit slip & take print of this slip. Go to the concerned bank along with this slip and deposit Rs. 500/-.


Q23. How should I fill the choices for seat allotment?

Ans. Choices shall be filled on the website www.techadmissionshry.gov.in. Candidates shall fill choices in order of priority i.e. first filled in choice will be given the highest priority. Candidates are advised in their own interest to fill in maximum number of choices.


Q24. Can an applicant change his choices after locking?

Ans. Yes, the candidate can change his choices by unlocking the choices till the last date of locking of choices. Locking is advisable, However, candidate who does not lock the choices, his/her last filled choice would be considered as final by HSCS.


Q25. What should I take while reporting to the allotted or designated institutes and shall I submit the original certificates?

Ans. Full Semester fee

  • The candidates, at the time of reporting must bring the following
    Original Certificates/Documents/Testimonials alongwith three sets of
    duly attested photocopies of these with them. Any candidate, who
    fails to produce any of the required Certificate / Document /
    Testimonial at the time of reporting the institution, will forfeit
    his/her claim to admission.
  • Qualifying Examination i.e. 10+2/Intermediate/Senior Secondary
    School Examination/Diploma Certificates.
  • Matriculation/High School Certificate.
  • JEE Admit Card/LEET Admit Card
  • JEE Rank Card/LEET Rank Card
  • Character Certificate :
  • (a)Regular Candidates : The candidates who passed their
    qualifying exam. from School/College as regular students are
    required to submit the Character Certificate as per Annexure-I.
  • (b)Private Candidates : Candidates, who have passed the
    qualifying examination as private candidates should submit their
    Character Certificate, duly signed by a First Class Magistrate.
  • Residents Certificate, if applicable: Candidates, who have passed
    their qualifying examination from a Board/Recognized School located
    in the State of Haryana will be deemed to be Haryana residents and
    will not be required to submit certificates of bonafide residents of
    Haryana.
  • Certificate from the Employer in the case of Employees of Govt.
    of Haryana, members of All India Services borne on Haryana Cadre,
    Employees of Statutory Bodies/Corporations , if applicable.
    Scheduled Caste Certificate, if applicable.
  • Backward Class Certificate as per Admission Brochure, if
    applicable and affidavit as per Admission Brochure.
  • Certificate in respect of Physically Handicapped Candidates as
    per Admission Brochure, if applicable.
  • Certificate required to be furnished by the Children &
    Grand-children of Freedom Fighters as per Admission Brochure, if applicable.
  • Certificate from wards of Deceased/Disabled/Discharged
    Military/Para-Military personnel/ Ex-Servicemen or Ex-Personnel of
    Para-Military Forces , as per Admission Brochure, if
    applicable.
  • Certificate from wards of ex-employee of Indian Defence Services/
    Para-Military Forces- as per Admission Brochure, if
    applicable.
  • Certificate of Medical Fitness- as per Admission Brochure.
  • Proof of annual parental income from all sources (in case of
    SC/BC/SBC/EBP candidates)
  • Note: All Originals and 3 sets of attested photo-copies of all
    applicable documents/ testimonials/ certificates must be brought at
    the time of reporting.
  • The original certificates shall be returned back after
    verification.
  • The 3 sets of attested copies of certificates/documents/testimonials will be verified & signed by
    the Director-Principal or his authorized representative & will be retained for registration purposes with the HSTES and
    subsequently in the University.
  • In case of Kashmiri Migrants, supporting certificates and
    original certificate of migration duly signed by the competent
    authority or Relief Commissioner.
  • In case of HGST, candidates shall produce a certificate in the
    support of their claim from the Principal/Headmaster of the Govt.
    School of which the candidate is topper clearly stating the strength
    of class.

Q26. How can I apply for refund of admission fee in case of
withdrawing the admission?

Ans. For refund of semester/admission fee deposited in the institute, candidate has to give the refund application to the concerned institute well within time and get a receipt of the same from them. In case, Institute doesn’t provide the same, the Refund Intimation can also be given on website www.hstes.org before final cut-off date of all admission. Remember to apply Refund in case you don’t want admission in allotted institute before final cut-off date of all admission i.e. the last date of admissions. The request of only that student will be forwarded to concerned institute who get the admission through centralized counseling & apply upto above mentioned date (Which is the last date of admissions). The ultimate responsibility of refund the fee lies with the institute. In case the institute does not refund candidate’s fee, the candidate can complain to the BOARD/University and AICTE for further action. (Refund direction/ Policy are issued by the AICTE, as per AICTE public notice Advt. No. AICTE/DPG/06(02)/2009).
